Social Workers at the Library

The Seaford District Library and its partner, the Delaware Health and Social Services Community Partner Support Unit, helps library patrons with their health and social service needs. The social worker assists patrons with ASSIST application process, applying for food assistance, Medicaid, Long-Term Nursing Care, Childcare, Home Energy Assistance, Employment and Training, and referrals to partner organizations.

Service Kiosk: In addition to on-site social workers, Seaford District Library is host to one of three telehealth kiosks in Sussex County. These are secure booths equipped with an ipad that access to many services. 1-3 people can occupy the kiosks at a time. The user can take part in a job interview, speak to a therapist, or use video-conferencing software for telehealth, legal support, and employment assistance.
